Hey Troopers, wave two from the vintage collection is now available for viewing and pre-order. Our affiliate EntertainmentEarth.com |

"Hey Troopers, time to check out your local Wal-Marts for clearance deals on comic packs. I just left the location in Killeen, TX and all comic packs were marked down to $8 and this includes the new Wal-Mart exclusive ones. You might want to hit up your local stores to finish off your 2009 collection, now is for sure the time. Nothing else new to report other than that, Starfox signing out." |

Our West Coast S.C.A.L.P. brigade sends a report via Topless Robot.com that contains an ad from an old catalog showcasing the Gym-Dandy Scout Command Tower with Speeder Bike Ride. I've seen the Speeder Bike show up on Ebay from time to time, but this is a great photo of something if you didn't own, you'd certainly wish you would have. It makes me wonder why Hasbro (or any toy company) wouldn't try to get the rights to produce a Clone Wars version of the coolest swing set in the universe. For more drop into our forums and join the discussion, and please let us know if you had one! United We Find. |
Gamespot recently wrote up their first impressions of the highly anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2" video game, and based on what they said it looks like this is going to be a much more polished version of the first game. The crew at LucasArts has been working hard on improving the targeting system, adding new gameplay elements, and most importantly continuing a great story about the Light and Dark sides of the Force. Make sure you read their article and share your thoughts about it over in our forums. |
Hey troopers! I have a quick store report to provide everyone, and it appears Target stores are having a pretty big sale on Hasbro and LEGO Star Wars toys. All action figures were on sale for $4.99 each (regularly $6.99), vehicles were all on sale except the ARC-170 fighters, and all LEGO sets were on sale as well (various discounts). Sadly, there wasn't really anything new on the pegs, but I did get the Malakili Rancor Keeper figure as I hadn't gotten him yet. If you're looking for new figures, hop on over to your local Target to bask in the great discounts on Star Wars products. United We Find! |
Who could forget the incredible display of Darth Vader helmets at Celebration IV? What is known as the Vader Project is now wrapping up a four-year art odessey. Now that the circle is complete around the globe, the Vader Project returns to Los Angeles in June for a special ten-day exhibition in Hollywood as a preview to the upcoming Freeman’s Auction in Philadelphia. For the entire press release check out our forums, and to get a catalog for the auctions head for the thevaderproject.com to get the ![]() |
While on the subject of Empire Strikes Back, we couldn't think of a better time to add Lando Calrissian to our Sandwatch Guides. The standard release includes both Imperial & Rebel blasters, a wrist communicator for getting out of sticky situations, and an extra set of hands for... well just to have I guess! For more check out the review and summary of one of the latest figures from the Heroes of the Rebellion series. United We Find. |

I met a couple of fans this past weekend at the table Anthony Forrest had set up at Motor City Comic-Con this past weekend who are asking for your help in naming Anthony Forrest's Sandtrooper. We have to applaude and get behind their noble cause. For more check out their blog page for instructions on how you can get in on the fun. |

"I managed to get something from staractiontoys.com, which was the new vintage 2 pack Bounty Hunters for £22.95 it may seem a lot but is a good value in the U.K.! This is the Jedi-Con exclusive set that sold out pretty fast." |

The staff at Sandtroopers would like to wish the engineer of Order 66 a Happy 66th Birthday. We thank the Maker for his creative vision and we thank him for his vision and continued contribution to film and entertainment. We hope you get everything you wish for, but what do you get the man who has everything? In any case, we will be sure to toss back more than a few in his honor when we reach the Cantina later this evening! |
We update our Sandwatch Guides with the second release of the Sandtrooper from Sideshow Collectibles. The team at Sideshow went above and beyond with this version, as it wasn't just a repaint of the Sandtrooper Sergeant from last year. There were several steps taken to present a unique dirt pattern, as well some differences in the accessories. For more check out the latest photo gallery and summary. Thanks again to Boba Binks for making things "move along"! United We Find. |

While I'd like to say it is another Sandwatch Sneak Peek, what you are seeing is a custom figure of myself in my TD 7306 "battle armor"! Our own Walt "Phenix" Crowley has done up a custom that is no doubt among a select group of favorite items in my collection. For full-sized photos of front and back check out the thread in our community forums, but I'm not sure if he's taking requests. Your gift is appreciated, and I am truly humbled by your kindness. It was just another pleasant reminder of how great our community has become in our near decade of existence! United We Find. |
We update our Sandwatch Guides with the latest set of exclusive bookends from Gentle Giant, available at Borders Bookstores. You can pick these up online or at brick and mortar locations, but if you do have enough Star Wars DVD's and books are they worth adding to your collections? For more check out the latest photo gallery and summary. Thanks again to Boba Binks for closing another chapter! United We Find. |

We update our Sandwatch Guides with the latest edition of the Star Wars Galactic Village collection from Hawthorne Village. While it might not be as interesting as other photos of Jabba the Hutt, we remind you big things can come in small packages! For more check out the latest photo gallery and summary. If you are looking to purchase this featured item, you can find one right here. There is also an index page in case you missed any of the previous Hawthorne Village guides. United We Find. |

Ok so we have seen the Kmart and Walmart exclusives, but what about Toys R Us you ask? Don't worry our friend Gorkoracing has us covered. Check out the Kul Teska exclusive that has surfaced, and I think it's great to see good exclusives coming once again. Until then jump into our forums for a new look at the packaged shot. We hope to see a loose version if possible sometime in the near future. Stay tuned, same Troop time, same Spice channel! |
It has been an eventful weekend and our friend Gorkoracing has given us another huge surprise in our little Tatooine Desert, this time it's the new Jabba the Hutt throne. We can look forward to our favorite intergalactic Gangster, complete with "dancing Oola" sometime in 2010, it appears exclusive to Wal-Mart stores. Until then jump into our forums for a new look at the packaged shot. Was this the same Jabba we previewed last July that many dismissed as a fake? I can't wait to see this bad boy opened up for verification. I think it very well MAY be! |
I really must say I didn't think one little photo of Jodo Kast would stir up so much dust! However many of us asked Gorkoracing to ask his new friend for an additional photo of the back of the package to see if it gave any other insight or details. For more hit our forums to see a full sized image of the card back. While it didn't give us any further details or smaller looks at new figures, it's great to see another look at this much improved figure. |

Dad and I stopped in at Wal-Mart on the way home from my brothers house and they have ROLLED BACK the price on Basic Star Wars Figures. They are $4.50 each! I picked up two of the Stormtroopers. At this price I hope to find some Gungan Warriors. Also, sure if someone returned the wrong figure to the wrong store or what but today when I was at Wal-Mart I spotted the Bespin Wing Guard (Alien Guy Variant) from the Toys-R-Us Expanded Universe wave that is susposed to only be at Toys-R-Us!?! I took a quick picture of it with my phone. I bought this figure and it rang up $6.00. No other figures from the EU wave were found. |
Hey troopers! It's been a while for me, but there's usually nothing for me to report on since the stores in my area typically don't have anything "new" in stock. Today was a bit different at the Walmart in Oswego, IL, as they had several new figures on the pegs. I was able to pick up Anakin Skywalker & Obi-Wan Kenobi in snow gear (Clone Wars), Commander Bly and Commander Stone. The only vehicle in the area were a bunch of Vulture Droids, and I won't buy those until they go on clearance. Not much else, but being able find anything new in my area is a win to me. United We Find! |
"Hey, folks. Young George Lucas reporting from the Kansas City area. Not a whole lot going on here--no final wave of Legacy (that I've seen anyway). I did pick up the (overpriced) TR'U TIE Interceptor, but it is really cool. The "Sith" wave was scare here, but at some of the Kohls stores you can still find one or two (on beat up cards). Since there is not much new here, I decided to include a photo of one of my favorite STAR WARS items from my collection. It is the "Unleashed" Han Solo, and is really one of my faves. My preferance is for real "movie accurate" items, and this definitely falls into that category as Han Solo is running up the boarding ramp of the Millennium Falcon looking back as he is firing his blaster! The sculpt and pose are awesome, and as good as anything McFarlane Toys has done. Most of the other "Unleashed" figures were more done with a lot more artistic license and look kind of..weird (like the "Dancin' Darth Maul"). I wish they had done more like this one." |
It appears the Kmart chain will have a Jodo Kast exclusive in 2010 as forum member Gorkoracing has posted a carded image that features a removable helmet. This is pretty decent if you take into consideration past Kmart exclusives, and how much of an upgrade Jodo Kast appears to have in the new version. For more hit our forums to see a full sized image of the latest find. Please note this has not been officially confirmed by Hasbro, I'm sure we'll be waiting until Comic-Con for more details. Thanks to Jayson and the rabid crew at Yakface.com pointing out confirmation of a January Spy Report! |

Darth Vader, C-3PO, Yoda, and Han Solo will soon yell at you for making a wrong turn and advise you to make the next legal U-turn on your TomTom device. The company just announced plans to out the voice options in Europe and, well, they are simply awesome. Right now Darth Vader is the only one available, but the other three will drop later this summer with C-3PO coming in June, Yoda in July, and Han Solo in August. It’s too bad that the voices only seem to be available in Europe market, but maybe there are plans in the works to out them in the states as well. |

It is hard to believe the month of May is upon us, and with more at stake on Saturday morning than Free Comic Book Day, my young recruit and I set out to our local Toys R Us with hope we'd find an end cap loaded with even a couple of the final wave of 2009 figures. However when we arrived, we only found set number one of the Force Unleashed packs, and slim pickings of the Empire Strikes Back wave. We did take advantage of the sale to fill in some of the holes in my son's collection, and it was a bit of a let down to not see the display set up. Hopefully I'll be able to scout a few more locations later this week, and if it's been too long hopefully some of you Troopers will let us know what you are finding in your searches.
