 It is with the deepest regret and sorrow to inform our readers of the passing of Pat Carlucci yesterday. For those of you who do not remember, he was responsible for founding our website and community with George Collazo nearly ten years ago. I would personally like to thank Pat for taking me under the wing of this organization, and we have come quite a long way since I was challenged to make this the greatest Star Wars collector site in the world. I could never express in words what this "journey" has meant to me, and while Pat and I were not the best of friends, we were still very good friends. There is no question or little doubt the man changed my life forever. We wish his wife Dawn, and his family well during this most difficult time.  While speaking with my good friend Anthony Forrest the other day, he sent me a link with a few photos of his brief meeting with John Lennon, back in 1969. The photos were from a Beatles fan site in Canada, but it if you scroll down to photos #9 and #14, you'll see an eighteen year-old Anthony Forrest with one of the biggest icons in Rock and Roll.  There are several reports surfacing that Star Wars Galactic Heroes will be the next animated television series. The website Worstpreviews.com has a story indicating Star Wars will follow Marvel Super Hero Squad footsteps but there isn't any word on what network will carry the show. While many of us had high hopes for a G.I. Joe Resolute, it looks like Mr. Lucas is targeting an audience that can be a little less critical! It's pretty much a fact that the last wave in any series before a cardback change usually proves to be the most difficult to find.  After dinner last night I hit Target and saw these. They are the new battle packs. I did not purchase any of these since they are all repacked items. The Tatooine Desert Ambush, Jedi Showdown, Holocron Heist, and the Birth of Darth Vader really make you wonder why they put some of this stuff back out so soon. The only exception is the Tatooine set that hasn't hit retail for close to a decade, but you can still find it pretty cheap on the secondary market.  If you thought you'd seen Lord Vader in every possible manner over the years, think again. An Ebay auction caught the attention of the team at Geekalerts.com, and perhaps the Dark Lord has never been seen like this.
