Oh, the horror!
Next up, the first SW romance novel... This week, Star Wars.com released the first glimpse of the cover for the eagerly anticipated book Deathtroopers. Billed as the first ever Star Wars horror novel, the book was penned by author Joe Schreiber and is currently on track for an October 27, 2009 release in paperback form.

Jackson + Hamill = Afro
They say that Afro is bad Mother... Premiering this evening at 10:00PM on Spike TV is 'Afro Samurai: Resurrection' a two-hour animated feature starring Mace Windu himself, Samuel L. Jackson. Co-starring in the movie which will be released on DVD February 3rd is fellow Star Wars alumni Mark Hamill. For more info on this project be sure to check out the movie's official web site.

Making it Better boyeeeeeee! It's that time of year again fellow scavengers. Our sharp-shooting friends at sister site Sandtroopers.com have officially kicked-off their 2009 campaign in grand style. Instead of one or two prizes, this time they are going to open things up with FOUR spectacular prizes! 10 Best Star Wars Toys...Really?
$150,000?!? Inventorspot.com has compiled a list of what they believe to be the 10 best Star Wars toys all true fans should have. Now I'm not sure why they omit something like the BMF from this list but feel the need to include a Yoda hat or Stormtrooper cuff links, but since it is their list I guess they get to make the rules. Regardless, check out their website if you're curious about what other odd-ball items made their 'best of' list.

Battle Front III and Time Splitters 4 screenshots leaked!
Screenshots leaked after company goes under.Several screenshots of two of Free Radical’s projects were leaked a few days ago. Timesplitters 4 and Star Wars Battlefront III were the biggest games Free Radical was working on before they went out of business, shortly after the release of Haze. The rumors of Battle Front III have finally been confirmed with the recent influx of images; however, whether or not the game will ever be made is still up in the air.
