st A Public Service Message: Force Friday Etiquette

Today at 09:20:33 AM by Darth Spice
Tonight is the big night Troopers, a night that most of us never thought could possibly ever happen again.  Back in 2005 when Revenge of the Sith hit the theater, it felt as if it were sort of like a swan song to some degree.  Maybe people felt as if it were the end.  Since Disney purchased Lucasfilm we have all been given a new life as we get the privilege of not only seeing this great story continue, but we also get a chance to get a ton of new items in our Star Wars collections.

That being said, if you are participating in any of the Force Friday Midnight Madness events, keep in mind they've made plenty of this stuff!  There is no need to push, shove, trample little girls or do anything but conduct yourself with calm and class.  This is the greatest saga in sci-fi and this hobby changed the way movies are made and marketed. So tonight make sure to show them not only we are the greatest fans in the world, but truly the elite and best of the best! United We Find and make sure to send in those store reports Troopers.

st Mos Eisley News Brief: 3,597 Post-It Notes 'Star Wars' Murals

September 01, 2015, 09:11:50 AM by Darth Spice
After being inspired by Ben Brucker's superhero wall art, we let a small team loose in the office with a big stack of post-it notes and an imagination brimming with anticipation for the upcoming Star Wars film. In the end it took a team of four people about five hours to complete the murals, and the designs and planning took about an hour. We used 3,597 post-it notes in total. We are really proud of what the team have created and we wanted to share the project with the world. To read more about how we came up with the designs and the execution of the project you can read about it and click below for the video!

st Harder to Stay on Target for Force Friday!

August 29, 2015, 08:17:54 AM by r3dfiv3
It is hard to believe there are nearly 3,000 Walmarts, but only 207 Targets participating in Force Friday. Before heading out to your local Target next Thursday to get in line for the 12:01 Force Friday event, be sure and check to see if yours is participating.  I actually spoke to a store manager at my local Target in person yesterday, which is in a densely populated area, before finding this link and was told to my dismay that they would not be participating. According to an article in the NY Post, nearly 3,000 Walmarts offering 24 hours service will be hosting the Force Friday event.

st Dewback Patrol: Chicago Comic-Con Recap Gallery!

August 27, 2015, 07:55:00 AM by Darth Spice
After wrapping up my 15th Chicago Comic-Con in 16 years, as a Star Wars fan I must say the show was more than a little flat.  The ticket prices are outrageous these days, as one could find themselves down over $80 before walking through the door to buy anything.  This effects the vendors who are raising their prices to counter the increases on the booth prices.  Overall I have to say I was shocked to find not one Star Wars autograph guest and there was very little in the programming from a galaxy far, far away.  We can only hope next year will bring an awakening to Chicago Comic-Con, until then enjoy our final recap gallery from Lance Neilson at 2nd Shift Photography!
