Anaheim Comic Con
April 16-18th, 2010

REPORT:
The Star Wars Q&A panel opened with Coolwaters Productions President, Derek Maki, giving his heartfelt apology that Irvin Kershner was not able to attend, due to his fight with cancer.  There was a video of Irvin speaking to the attendees, apologizing for missing the event and is looking forward to the 40th celebration of ESB.  We at sandtroopers.com and thejawa.com wish him well.

After the video of Irvin, Billy Dee Williams was introduced to the crowd, the room erupted! Once settled down Derek & Sheila Myjo began their live webcast of the interview with Billy Dee from the show. They opened by asking, how does it feel like to betray Han?  Billy Dee laughed and stated his whole life people have been asking him that question. He recalled a story about his taking his, then six year old daughter to school one day. And all the kids in the play ground quickly recognizing him, then running at him asking why he betrayed Han.

More questions about his role in Star Wars movies were asked by audience members and the two hosts.  One answer from Billy Dee was that he was asked by Irvin to play in the role and did not really interview for the part of Lando.  He also loved the cape that he wore on set; it reminded him of suave Errol Flynn movies.  Billy Dee was able to take home a prop from the Star Wars movies.  He has a ewok mask at home as a souvenir from work on Jedi.

At some point during the panel Billy Dee stated, "He still drinks Colt 45."  Of course this was said with warm deep voice that he is known for.  He now paints and has his artwork on exhibit around the country.  You can see his paintings on his site. Billy Dee stated that he is now working on voice acting for a Seth Green project.  As the interview was closing out Billy Dee, mentioned some interesting fan experiences and said in his deep voice, "Billy Dee loves the ladies."
